jQuery for Designers is a project that I’ve been meaning to get around to for about a year before the first post went live. Hopefully it will help serve the design community and bridge a little of the barrier to the funky interaction stuff.
Why?
I’ve worked with a few designers, and my reason for using jQuery is because I’m lazy. It’s easy to write and easy to read. It kills a lot of the tedious aspects of coding and makes things fun.
It’s so simple, I was certain I could teach designers with very little programming experience that they could add some simple, and more complicated effects to their pages and understand what they were adding.
Who?
My name is Remy Sharp (@rem on Twitter and my blog). I run a small business in Brighton, UK called Left Logic specialising in bespoke back and front-end development.
If you are interested in contracting Left Logic to help with JavaScript, jQuery or LAMP(HP) solutions, please get in touch, I look forward to hearing from you.
I’ve had about 10 years working on the web, and have been riding the JavaScript love for many years now :-)
If this web site helps in some way, then it’s done it’s job. Thanks for reading.
